The limited-edition bottling is matured in 100 per cent first fill American oak casks. Tasting notes as supplied by the brand are of ripe, juicy pear, coconut shavings and creamy vanilla, complemented by aromas of fresh tangerines, pineapple slices and indulgent crème caramel. Artwork for the 12 Years Old was selected through a crowdsourcing campaign to source art that captures. Together with the renowned house Talented House, Glenlivet has motivated independent artists around the world to create unusual designs for this anniversary bottling. Four unique designs were shortlisted from over 400 designs and the fans of the distillery were allowed to decide which design would be chosen as the winner. The anniversary design reflects the most important elements from the past 200 Years of the distillery.
