The Triple Cask series was crafted exclusively for travel retail locations, making it a very rare selection of premium whiskies from this elite distillery. Balvenie 12 Year Triple Cask is derived from whisky that has matured in a trifecta of casks, specifically; first-fill American oak barrels, traditional refill casks, and first-fill Oloroso ex-sherry butts. The distillate is then blended in a custom wooden marrying tun and finished at 40% ABV. Produced in limited quantities, this highly favored single malt features aromas of orchard apples, syrup, vanilla, and crushed mint over hints of metallic tinned peaches and caramel.
