Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder. Featuring malt and grain whiskeys drawn from bourbon barrels, nearly 100 blends were created before deciding upon the one in the bottle.
Proximo Spirits bought the whiskey brand from Conor McGregor in 2021, but he continued to promote Proper No. 12 Whiskey and Proper No. 12 Apple Whiskey on social media. The company has since Nov 2024 ended its association with Conor.
