Glenfarclas, Heritage 45° North

Another addition to Glenfarclas’s heritage range, which celebrates the 175 year history of this superb Speyside distillery. The bottling was originally aimed at the French market, marking 35 years of connection between Bordeaux and the distillery. This particular bottling is a non aged stated whisky which has been matured in sherry casks. This dram serves up a classic Glenfarclas profile: expect plenty of Christmas cake character, with toasted spicy malt, marmalade, dried fruit and dark sherried oak. The title “45o North” refers to the proof of this whisky, a warming 45% ABV. This strength ensures that the flavours of the single malt are a little bit more intense. Another top-notch expression from one of the best distilleries in the business.
