Building on the success of the first two limited Campbeltown Festival Editions, Glen Scotia is now presenting the third special bottling for the occasion. The unpeated malt first matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon Casks to reflect the typical maritime character of the Glen Scotia distillery. Directed by Iain McAlister, the Festival Edition 2021 received its finish for five months in first-fill exBordeaux Casks from the well-known Médoc wine region.
The result: the perfect balance between the red fruits from the wine Casks and the classic fruit, spice and maritime notes for which Glen Scotia is so famous. The Single Malt Whisky was bottled at Cask Strength with an alcohol content of 56.1%vol.
