Compass Box Stranger & Stranger

Compass Box loves to push boundaries. In response to the numerous rules concerning what you can and cannot put on a label, they have released a blend which, technically, is not even a whisky. For Stranger & Stranger, Compass Box took a cask of mature Glenlossie whisky and added a tiny bit of one-year-old wheat spirit from the grain distillery Girvan. And voila, it is now legally called a ‘spirit drink’. The blend consists for 80% of Glenlossie single malt matured in a recharred American oak hogshead, and also contains malts from Glen Elgin and Linkwood. Compass Box Stranger & Stranger furthermore celebrates the bottler’s relationship with the design company Stranger & Stranger, who have designed Compass Box’s iconic labels for over a decade now. 4802 bottles of Compass Box Stranger & Stranger were released in September 2018.
