Compass Box The Extinct Blends Quartet Series

The Extinct Blends Quartet by Compass Box is a series of modern recreations of classic scotch blends, aiming to recapture the character of past releases through new blends. The series includes four whiskies: Ultramarine, Delos, Metropolis, and Celestial. Each release is inspired by a now-coveted bottling of peated Scotch from the 1950s and 1960s, combining malt whiskies from distilleries like Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Pulteney, and Glen Elgin. The series is known for its extravagant flavor profiles and equine themes, with the latest release, Celestial, being the peatiest expression. The series was launched in August 2022, with the last release in August 2023.
