Lagavulin 9 year old (Game of Thrones House Lannister)

In collaboration with Diageo, nine iconic, limited release single malts have been paired with the 7 kingdoms of Westeros and the Night’s Watch, to create a truly unique collection that’s a must for series fans and serious collectors alike. Each single malt comes with bespoke packaging and gift tube, highlighting the individual house paired with the whisky.

House Lannister in HBO and Diageo’s super popular Game of Thrones series. The Lannisters are the wealthiest and most powerful family in the story for much of its narrative, and are presented by the golden lion, an indication of their might. Their house motto is “Hear Me Roar!” a statement of their intent. This Lagavulin is just as golden and formidable as the Lannister family, having been exclusively aged in first fill former Bourbon barrels for 9 years. The result is a powerfully peaty dram, with notes of sweet vanilla, oak, maritime peat, oily malt, burnt banana, marshmallows, vivid oak, lemon zest, cinnamon, peppery spice, and a little salted caramel. Bottled at 46% ABV for a little more body, this is an excellent iteration of Lagavulin’s spirit, ranked by many reviewers as the highlight of the Game of Thrones series as a whole.
