Ardbeg Smoketrails Series

The Ardbeg Smoketrails range aims to explore how different casks impact the signature Ardbeg style. Smoketrails is the name for a new collection of single malts from Ardbeg. This serieffers whisky lovers the chance to embark on a global flavor journey, with each single malt highlighting how casks from around the world influence Ardbeg’s signature character.

• The first release marries malt aged in classic Ardbeg American oak with Manzanilla sherry casks from Sanlúcar de Barrameda on Spain’s Atlantic coast, creating a salty, maritime flavor combined with our signature smoky intensity.
• The second release, we explored Côte Rôtie red wine casks from France’s Rhône region, which imparts a distinctive mix of minerality, earthy aromas, and spicy complexity on Ardbeg’s classic style.

• Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley Edition is the third release in the Smoketrails series. The collection features annual batch releases composed of Ardbeg matured in American oak bourbon casks and Ardbeg matured in secondary wine casks sourced internationally. This third edition incorporates whisky matured in bourbon barrels and whisky matured in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon casks, marking the series’ first use of casks from the Napa Valley wine region.
