Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich (no 4)

The Ghost & Rare series intends to highlight whiskies from closed distilleries, or those that are extremely rare. Whilst the whisky is still a blend under the Blue Label umbrella, the contents is different to that of the standard Blue Label. 

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich was released in 2021 as part of the continuing Ghost and Rare series celebrating the rare and lost distilleries that contribute to the Johnnie Walker brand's globe-bestriding success. Pittyvaich distillery opened in 1974 but was closed in 1993 and the distillery's whisky was rarely bottled as a single malt in its brief lifetime. This Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich Johnnie Walker Blue has Pittyvaich single malt at the heart of its malt content, supplemented by other single malts from Cragganmore, Royal Lochnagar, Strathmill, Mannochmore and Auchroisk, blended with long-aged single grain whiskies from Carsebridge and Port Dundas.
