Mortlach Special Strength (500ml)

Until a couple of years ago, the only official Mortlach single malt available was the elusive 16-year-old Flora & Fauna. Diageo relaunched the distillery with four new bottlings in 2014, including the Mortlach Special Strength. This single malt, released exclusively for the Travel Retail market, combines a number of characterful ages and casks. It is bottled at a full 49% ABV to bring out all the layers of flavour. The expression offers complex aromas of ripe red apples, berries, ice cream sweetness and creamy vanilla, supported by a supple savouriness. The palate is intense with notes of fresh blueberries, black cherries and smooth honey, leading to a long and rounded finish.
