Founded by Sir Alexander Ramsay in 1824, Fettercairn is a Highland distillery known for the innovative cooling rings on its pot stills and its distinctly fruity and savoury spirit.
The 2022-release of Fettercairn 16 Year Old is a fruity, spicy Highland single malt that has been matured in a combination of Pedro Ximenez, oloroso and bourbon casks. Aromas of dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg, crystallised ginger, peppery oak and vanilla fill the nose, complemented by notes of raisins, baked apples, milk chocolate, caramel, orange zest and baking spices throughout the palate.
