The Gold Medal Series commemorates the gold medals awarded to Jack Daniel’s whiskey over the years. Jack Daniel’s 1914 Gold Medal is the fourth release in this special limited edition series. Jack Daniel passed away in 1911 and his nephew, Lem Motlow, took over running the distillery operation. In 1914, Lem received a letter informing him of a whiskey competition that was to be held at the Anglo-American Exposition in London. He sent over a freshly aged batch straight away, and received the results some days later: his uncle’s signature whiskey had won yet another Gold Medal as the finest whiskey in the world.
