The Taaibosch Crescendo 2019 is a triumph of South African viticulture, a radiant embodiment of the Simonsberg terroir from where it originates. This fine Cabernet Franc-led blend reveals delicate hints of ripe cherry, currants, and intriguing spice elements. A masterful effort from holistic viticulturist Rosa Kruger and reputed winemaker Wynand Grobler, the grapes were meticulously hand-selected, ensuring its first-rate quality and purity. Celebrated for the sustainability-focused ethos of its producer, this exceptional wine was crafted in the renowned Anthonij Rupert Wyne estate. Barrel-ageing techniques create a marriage between plush fruitiness and poised tannin attributes, culminating in an orchestration of balanced elegance. The blend is Cabernet Franc with 26% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon from the windy western corner of the Helderberg. Complex, layered and restrained, with perfumed 35% new wood, graphite, red berry, blackcurrant leaf and tarragon flavours and fresh, sea breeze-kissed finish.’
