Located in the emerging Overberg region, Gabriëlskloof was founded by Bernhard Heyns in 2001 at a time when the land was just wheat fields and sheep. However, he saw huge potential in the region, buying a site which has grown to encompass over 60 hectares of vines. Innovative and precise winemaking is fundamental to the Gabriëlskloof philosophy, which is further reinforced by Bernhard’s son-in-law, Peter-Allan Finlayson of Crystallum.
Experience the bold and expressive flavours of Gabrielskloof Cabernet Franc, a wine that embodies the unique terroir and meticulous craftsmanship of South Africa’s Bot River region. With a dedication to excellence, this Cabernet Franc promises an exceptional tasting journey that will captivate both connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
This wine is renowned for its versatility and pairs wonderfully with a variety of dishes. Pair it with grilled meats, such as lamb chops or beef tenderloin, to enhance its robust flavors. It also pairs beautifully with hearty stews, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses. Alternatively, savour a glass on its own to fully appreciate its depth and complexity.
