In the spirit of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, or "Kogei," Yamazaki whisky making reflects a commitment to timeless beauty and innovation. This philosophy is shared by Kyoto's renowned Kyo-Yuzen Kimono House, Chiso, which has been crafting exquisite kimonos since 1555. Each kimono is a blend of age-old traditions and contemporary techniques, resulting in patterns that are both classic and modern. To celebrate Shinji's Kogei vision, the label for this inaugural release has been created in collaboration with Chiso. Utilizing the ancient dyeing method of Bokashi-zome and delicate gold threads, the design beautifully represents the origin and birthplace of Japanese whisky.
