It's been over 100 years since Jack Daniel's released a whiskey with an age of 10 years or more, so this batch of 10-year-old is quite the milestone! It's made following the same mash bill as the classic JD we're all familiar with, 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before it's filled into the barrel. The casks matured in the Buzzard's Roost of the Jack Daniel's warehouses before each was methodically relocated to the lower floors of different barrel houses to extend the ageing process across 10 summers. The result? A rich and intense Tennessee whiskey, like the classic Jack Daniel's, but amplified with layers of decadent molasses, warming oak spice, and chocolate.
