Cruach-Mhona, gaelic for 'peat stack', a pile of drying peat bricks cut for fuel, is a departure from Bunnahabhain's usual style, adding in some peat to their normally unpeated spirit. A typical smoked Islay. On the nose, smoked mob pushed forward, but enough leaves room for hay aromas and a slight salty taste. Peat has only a small part of phenol and is mainly fire smoke. In the mouth the first impression is very soft and gentle with a pleasant malty sweet touch.
