Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Kentrdige - Zenkosikazi (Tears of a Queen) 14 years

A very special release of a private cask from Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. This single cask is peated Port Charlotte which was distilled in 2004, matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel (200l) for 14 years and bottled in 2019. Only 222 bottles were produced, each individually numbered. The label is an original artwork especially created for the whisky by one of South Africa's most infamous artists, William Kentridge. The whisky is entitled Izinyembezi Zenkosikazi, which translate from Zulu as "Tears of a Queen" and the packaging details the story of the British defeat by the Zulu army at Isandlwana in 1879. Since then isiZulu speakers have been known to called Scotch whisky Izinyembezi Zenkosikazi.
