Glenmorangie - Azuma Makato Edition 23 year old

Glenmorangie continues its partnership with renowned botanical sculptor Azuma Makoto to present Glenmorangie - Bill Lumsden x Azuma Makoto 23 Year Old. Whisky creator, Dr Bill Lumsden and Makoto were inspired by a morning stroll through the Highlands and the conversation it sparked about the Japanese concept of “Shinra Bansho” - a celebration of the natural world and all that it encompasses. Inspired by the malt, Azuma chose plants & flowers to represent tasting notes, while Dr Bill chose an old Glenmorangie spirit ageing in bourbon casks for its notes of jasmine sprigs, lemon balsam, orchids, and peaches. He then picked out Chardonnay white wine casks from Burgundy to finish the whisky in. Before 2006, such casks had never been used at Glenmorangie. It's bottled at 46% ABV.
