Johnnie Walker King George V has been created to celebrate the monarch who granted us our first Royal Warrant in 1934. Our makers drew on our archives to hand-select whiskies from distilleries that existed during his reign. This includes some of the rarest in our reserves, including irreplaceable casks from the now-closed Port Ellen distillery. King George V is a rich blend of rare and exceptional whiskies that existed during his Majesty’s reign (1910-1936), including Cardhu, Caol Ila, the much sought after whiskies of Port Ellen-the famous closed Islay distillery now being resurrected and the Now Silent Port Dundas.
